From Rock Falls, Illinois

Studying at Mt. St. Mary’s for the Diocese of Peoria, IL

Adam graduated from Loras College in Dubuque, IA in 2006 and immediately began missionary work with FOCUS (Fellowship of Catholic University Students) at Bradley University in Peoria, IL. He spent three years praying and working with college students to grow in their relationship with Christ and the Catholic Faith. After his third year he felt a great pull to join the seminary for the Diocese of Peoria, and is now on his third year of seminary.

Top three things about being a seminarian: Being able to spend so much time with the Lord in prayer every day; Knowing that if he works and prays hard, he will one day be able to bring the sacraments to the people of God, and with God’s grace, help people get to heaven; Having the ability to spend time with his brother seminarians praying, hanging out, playing sports, and even in class.

Baseball led him to God in many ways throughout his life. It has always been an important part of his life. He played up until his junior year of college and still tries to play every chance he gets.

Favorite team: Chicago Cubs

Favorite Player: Ivan “Pudge” Rodriguez (favorite current player: Joe Mauer)
